C-N's Fleck Named SAC Player of the Week

Rock Hill, S.C.----Carson-Newman College senior outside hitter Kelsey Fleck (Celina, Ohio) is this week's South Atlantic Conference volleyball Player of the Week.
A graduate of Celina High School, Kelsey Fleck led the Eagles to a 4-0 week. Carson-Newman picked up key wins over Lincoln Memorial and Lander. In the regional victory over the Lander Bearcats, Fleck posted 16 kills, eight blocks and a .481 hitting percentage. In the 3-0 victory over LMU, she recorded eight kills. Fleck had 12 kills in a non-conference victory over local rival King.
For the week, Fleck posted a .410 hitting percentage (43 kills, nine errors, 83 total attacks) with 13 total blocks. On the season, Fleck hits at a .274 clip with 2.47 kills per game and 0.58 blocks per contest. Carson-Newman is 16-11 overall (4-3 SAC) entering this week's play. The Eagles host SAC foe Mars Hill Tuesday night at 7 p.m.
