Lady Eagles Defeat PC, 3-0

JEFFERSON CITY, TN-- Kelli Sorensen had 12 kills and Kelsey Fleck added 11 as Carson-Newman defeated Presbyterian, 3-0 (30-17, 30-17, 30-22) in South Atlantic Conference volleyball action Friday night.
The Eagles (14-12, 5-7 SAC) hit a match best .412, including a .481 clip in game two. Kari Gibson led the lady Eagles by hitting .538 for the match with eight kills and 37 assists. Melissa Miller added nine kills , three digs, and two blocks against the Blue Hose (7-22, 1-10 SAC). Katie Troyer added eight kills and two block assists while Haley Bush anchored the C-N defense with eight digs. Bush also added five service aces. Meg Davis contributed four kills and two blocks for the Lady Eagles.
PC's Justine Lanchester and Lauren Mason led the Blue Hose with seven kills apiece while Rachel Lewis had 22 assists.
