Lady Eagle VB Wins 3-0 over Mars Hill

MARS HILL, NC-- The Lady Eagles defeated Mars Hill, 3-0 (30-28, 30-28,30-24) for their first South Atlantic Conference match win of the 2006 season.
Kelli Sorensen and Kelsey Fleck led the Eagles offense with 11 and 10 kills in the match, respectively. Kari Gibson provided the duo with 41 assists in the win. Sorensen added a pair of blocks while Gibson recorded three service aces. Salem Stepp led the Eagles' defense with a season high 14 digs. Carson-Newman improves to 7-5 overall, 1-2 in the SAC.
