Lady Eagle VB Sweeps MHC

JEFFERSON CITY, TN-- The Carson-Newman Lady Eagles claimed their third SAC win of the season in defeating Mars Hill, 3-0 (30-15, 30-23, 30-26) to sweep the season series between the two teams.
Katie Troyer led the Lady Eagle attack with 10 kills while Kelli Sorensen added nine and Kelsey Fleck added eight. Kari Gibson contributed eight kills along with 22 assists and seven service aces on the night. Freshman Bruna Rasuck collected 14 assists, two service aces, and seven digs.
Melissa Miller and Haley Bush anchored the C-N defensive effort with nine digs apiece while Troyer paced the Lady Eagles with four block assists. Mars Hill's Danielle Silvers had seven kills and Jessica Britt led the Lady Lions with 10 assists. Tiffany Oreka led the Lady Lions with 16 digs.
