Carson-Newman's Moore Earns SAC POTW Honors

ROCK HILL, S.C. - Carson-Newman College's Brittany Moore was named the SAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week, conference officials announced today. This is the first time this season Moore has earned the award.
Moore, a 5-9, senior forward from Lenoir City, Tenn., led the Lady Eagles to a 2-0 week, scoring three of the team's four goals as C-N picked up a pair of SAC wins. She had the game winner in last Wednesday night's 2-1 win at home over SAC-rival Tusculum. She followed with both goals in a home shutout of Mars Hill on Saturday night, 2-0.
Moore joins C-N freshman forward Trenna Howell (Oak Ridge, Tenn.) as the two lady Eagles to have received the honors this season.
C-N ( 8-3) returns to action on Saturday in Salisbury, N.C. for a 3 p.m. match with Catawba.
