Howell Named SAC Player of the Week

ROCK HILL, S.C. - Carson-Newman's Trenna Howell (Oak Ridge, Tenn.) has been named the SAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week, conference officials announced today.
Howell, a 5-6, freshman forward from Oak Ridge, Tenn., scored her first four career goals during to lead the Eagles to a 2-0 record last week. The true freshman had three goals in C-N's 6-1 win over King last Wednesday. She followed with the game-winning goal in a 2-1 decision on Saturday night at Lenoir-Rhyne in C-N's SAC opener. This is the first time Howell has earned the award.
The conference's nine-member institution's sports information directors select the 2008 SAC Women's Soccer Player of the Week.
