Lady Eagles Soccer Take Over Pfeiffer

CHARLOTTE, N.C - The Lady Eagles took over Pfeiffer during their match Sunday, September 7, at Queens University. Carson-Newman finished the game with a 2-0 score. Currently they are 3-0 on the season.
In the 16th minute of the game senior Brittany Moore (Lenoir City, Tenn.) finished a deflection off of the Pfeiffer goal keeper to make the score 1-0. The second Lady Eagle goal came from sophomore Morgan Gruenenfelder (Sweetwater, Tenn.) in the 80th minute of the game. She found the upper right hand corner of the net from the eighteen yard line.
Carson-Newman will face fellow southern powers Armstrong Atlantic on Friday, September 12 and Columbus State on Sunday, September 14, at 1 p.m. on McCown Field.
