Lady Eagles receive votes in latest USA Today Top 25

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn – The Carson-Newman women's basketball team received nine votes in the latest USA Today/ESPN Division II Coaches Poll, released Tuesday afternoon.
The Lady Eagles are off to a 3-0 start, including a win over previously-ranked No. 24 Anderson College.
Northern Kentucky University holds the top spot in this week's rankings, receiving 24 of the possible 26 first-place votes. Washburn University is second, followed by West Texas A&M, who garnered the other two first-place nods.
There are two South Atlantic Conference schools in the top 25 – Wingate University is 13th, while Tusculum is 16th.
The Carson-Newman women will travel to Dahlonega, Georgia this weekend to compete in the Lady Saints Classic. the Lady Eagles will play West Georgia at 4 p.m. on Friday, before taking on West Alabama at 2 p.m. on Saturday.
