Browder goes back-to-back as TSWA Player of the Week
NASHVILLE, Tenn. – For a second consecutive week, Carson-Newman men’s basketball forward Jack Browder (Kingsport, Tenn.) has been named the Tennessee Sportswriters Association State Player of the Week, the organization announced Tuesday afternoon.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – For a second consecutive week, Carson-Newman men's basketball forward Jack Browder (Kingsport, Tenn.) has been named the Tennessee Sportswriters Association State Player of the Week, the organization announced Tuesday afternoon.
The honor is Browder's third from the organization this season and the fifth of his career.
Browder and C-N went 1-1 this week with a win at UVA Wise, a team receiving votes in the NABC Poll, last Wednesday 85-70, and a 60-52 loss to No. 5 Anderson Saturday.
For the week, Browder averaged 30.5 points and six rebounds while shooting 47 percent from the field.
He posted 35 points and nine boards at UVA Wise, hitting 8-of-16 field goals and 17-for-20 at the foul line. It marked his seventh career 30-point game and moved him into seventh on the all-time scoring list at Carson-Newman.
He added 26 points at Anderson, connecting on 8-of-18 field goals and 9-for-11 free throws.
