JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - The Carson-Newman athletic department has received five NCAA statistical championships for the 2024-25 academic year.
Carson-Newman's men's basketball team led the country in both field goal percentage (53.1 percent) and three-point percentage (42.3). The men's basketball program has led the country in three-point efficiency in back-to-back seasons.
The softball program had the highest batting average in the nation after hitting .365 for the year.
Meanwhile, the women's basketball team logged the only individual stasticial championship of the bunch. Lindsey Taylor led the country for the year, shooting 64.8 percent from the field. Additionally, the women's basketball program led the nation in assists per game (19.1).
