Carson-Newman Listed in Regional Rankings

INDIANAPOLIS - The Carson-Newman men's soccer team is listed in the NCAA Division II Southeast Regional Rankings this week. The Eagles are one of two South Atlantic Conference teams earning a spot in the rankings.
Carson-Newman (11-3-2, 6-1-1 SAC) is ranked 4th in the region and is coming off of a 2-0 week. On Wednesday, the Eagles defeated King, 3-1. They finished the regular season Saturday with a 2-0 win over Newberry, clinching a share of the South Atlantic Conference title alongside Tusculum College.
Tusculum took the number one spot in the rankings, with Limestone and Lees-McRae coming in at 2nd and 3rd respectively. Carson-Newman takes the 4th spot, followed by Francis Marion, Lander, Queens (N.C.) and Clayton State.
The Eagles begin SAC Tournament play Wednesday night against Lenoir-Rhyne in Jefferson City. The game is set to start at 7 p.m. on McCown Field.
