C-N Hosts Rivals in Soccer Wednesday Night

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - The Carson-Newman men's and women's soccer teams will host their second doubleheader of the season this Wednesday night, as McCown Field takes center stage for two key South Atlantic Conference showdowns.
The Eagles (4-2) will take to the field first in a match-up against 8th ranked and defending national runner-up Lincoln Memorial University (7-2-1).
Carson-Newman is coming off of a 6-1 win over Brevard, but has since had a rare 11-day break in season play. The Railsplitters come into the match looking to rebound from a 2-1 loss to Georgetown College. Both teams enter the contest 2-0 in South Atlantic Conference play and tied for first.
The Lady Eagles (6-3) will face the Pioneers (5-3-1) of Tusculum in a conference rivalry match-up. Carson-Newman is looking to rebound after two disappointing losses in Colorado to Regis University and nationally-ranked Metro State. Tusculum is coming into the match off of a 5-1 victory over Brevard. Both teams are undefeated in conference play.
Tomorrow night's doubleheader begins with the men's match at 6:00 p.m., followed by women's action at 8:00 p.m.
