Eagles light up timesheets with countless PRs in loaded weekend

At Emory's Thrills in the Hills, C-N sent their top sprinters down to Atlanta, and they performed tremendously well.
Rylan Jordan made his first appearance of the outdoor season, after his All-American and bronze medal in the 60m during the indoor season, setting a pair of PRs. The sophomore took first place in the 200m (20.95 seconds) and had the fastest qualifying time in the 100m (10.17 seconds), but did not run in the final. Heading into the weekend, Jordan's 100m time currently puts him second in the nation.
Favour Ekpekpe also made the journey and finished fourth in the 200m with a time of 21.35 seconds.
Lovelyne Larrame carried her momentum forward, setting new outdoor PRs with her second-place finish in the 200m (24.45 seconds) and the quickest 400m time (55.08 seconds), taking first. Teammate Lidija Djokic also set a PR in the 400m at 1:02.69.
Also in the Peach State, all of the primary jumpers made their way to Kennesaw State for the Don McGarey Invitational.
Kendall Whitehead led the way in the triple jump with a PR of 11.57m, finishing in fifth.
Senior Brooke Taylor, meanwhile, finished sixth in the triple jump, 11.50m, and took seventh in the long jump, 5.46m. In the pole vault, Katie Edmunds notched seventh place at 3.45m.
On the men's side, Carlos Kouassi claimed sixth in the triple jump, 14.48m. Freshman Blayne Jackson came in fourth in the high jump at 1.99m. Rounding things out was Cadence Dolgin, to take third in the pole vault at 4.76m.
The remaining Eagles stayed in the Volunteer State with a journey to Bristol for the second King University Invitational.
Ben Swank topped the sheets in the javelin with a personal record of 54.69 meters.
First-year Caroline Bannak was another first-place finisher for C-N, coming in the 400m hurdles at 1:06.05 for her own record and meet record as well.
Kellie Ivens finished in second place after her PR 1.60m high jump.
Freshman multi Meiah Moss continues to show promise as she tallied 3971 in the heptathlon, her personal best, and gave her a third-place finish.
Jackson Thompson took sixth in the 400m with a time of 50.45 seconds. He also took fourth in the 200m at 22.95 seconds.
Noah Ricketts took fourth in the 400m hurdles at 58.98 seconds. He also ran to a tune of 11.01 seconds in the 100m; both times are PBs for the sophomore.
In the men's 110m hurdles, both Torrence Brady and Daniel Heath finished inside the top five with PBs. Brady came in fourth at 15.92 seconds, with Heath in fifth at 18.78 seconds.
Dominika Kooch etched her name in fourth in the women's long jump at 5.23m, her PR.
Jase McCloskey set his collegiate personal best at 1:59.83 in the 800m, finishing in sixth. Emerson Mills did the same on the women's side with her PB of 2:48 in the 800m.
Finally, a trio of freshmen, Stuart Leath, 5:22, Emerson Mills, 5:39, and Stella Bounds, 5:50, all set PRs in the women's 1500m.
Next up for Carson-Newman is a trip to Emory & Henry for the Blue & Gold Invitational on April 3rd and 4th.
