Emerson and Potts Named SACC Pair of the Week
After a dominant 2-0 performance at the No. 2 flight, Ava Potts and Emerson Ahsmuhs have been named Conference Pair of the Week.
JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Beach Volleyball pair Ava Potts and Emerson Ahsmuhs were named SACC Pair of the Week the league announced on Tuesday afternoon.
"Emerson and Ava had a great weekend," said head coach Cat Collins. "They have really stepped up and into their role. They are one of the strongest pairs in our conference and we couldn't be prouder of them."
Ava Potts and Emerson Ahsmuhs have been named Conference Pair of the Week after a dominant showing at the No. 2 flight in Carson-Newman's perfect 2-0 outing.
The duo went unbeaten on the day, leading the Eagles to wins over Erskine and Berry. Potts and Ahsmuhs opened with a commanding 21-12, 21-11 straight-set victory in Carson-Newman's 5-0 sweep of Erskine . They followed it up with another decisive performance, defeating Berry's No. 2 pair 21-11, 21-15 in a 4-1 team win
The pair currently rides a three-match win streak and has a 19-3 record on the season.
