Behind a 5-0 record and five team sweeps, Trinity Hafey and Paige Halcrow earned SAC/Conference Carolinas Pair of the Week honors.
ROCK HILL, S.C. – Trinity Hafey and Paige Halcrow earned SAC/Conference Carolinas Pair of the Week honors after going 5-0 at the No. 1 flight and leading Carson-Newman to five sweeps.
"Paige and Trinity had a great weekend," said head coach Cat Collins. "I'm so proud of the way they have grown and peaked at the perfect time in the season. They have great chemistry and communication. The way they work together is what lets them excel and beat teams."
The duo not only won every match but did so with control, posting an average margin of victory of roughly 6–7 points per set across the week.
The pair finished with straight-set wins over Catawba, Wingate, and Emmanuel while also closing tight matches with a comeback three-set win over Tusculum and a 31-29 opening set in their victory over Erskine.
The Eagles travel to Greeneville, Tenn., on April 10–11 for the South Atlantic/Conference Carolinas Championship Tournament. The team will have the chance to win back-to-back conference championships.
