Eagles Improve To 14-0, Wins Exhibition Match Against Liberty Club Team

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman beach volleyball continued its unbeaten run Saturday afternoon, sweeping Lynchburg 5-0 to improve to 14-0 on the season at the Carson-Newman Beach Volleyball Courts.
The Eagles controlled the dual from start to finish, claiming straight-set victories in all five flights to secure their latest sweep of the season.
At the top position, Paige Halcrow and Trinity Hafey set the tone with a 21-14, 21-15 victory over Amanda Trapp and Kailey Keough. The duo maintained steady control in both sets to earn the opening point for Carson-Newman.
Ava Potts and Emerson Ahsmuhs followed with a strong performance at the No. 2 flight, defeating SJ Yanz and Mady Shiirey 21-14, 21-19 to extend the Eagles' lead.
At No. 3, Camryn Ehlers and Addie Smith delivered another convincing win for Carson-Newman, topping Parker Lynch and Noelle Slye 21-8, 21-15.
Morgan Foy and Lucy Bartee added to the Eagles' dominance at the fourth flight, defeating Jamie Smith and Alexis Scipione by identical 21-14 set scores.
Kelcey Peterson and Madison Trondle sealed the sweep at No. 5 with a decisive 21-10, 21-7 victory over Cara Taylor and Lydia Nelson.
With the win, Carson-Newman improves to 14-0 on the season while Lynchburg moves to 6-6.
