JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman swimming hits the road to kick off the second half of the 2025–26 season with a major test at nationally ranked Catawba this Friday at 11:00 a.m. at Johnson Pool in Catawba, N.C.
After a strong start to the season, the Eagles prepare for a head-to-head matchup with No. 10 Catawba on the road, as both the men's and women's squads are ranked inside the national top 10. Carson-Newman currently sits 22nd on the men's side and 23rd on the women's side and looks to make a move in the national rankings.
Friday's meet marks the Eagles' first matchup with Catawba since the 2015 season, when Carson-Newman swept both sides of the meet. The women's team dominated by sweeping the podium in all 14 events en route to a 183–76 victory, while the men earned a 140–115 win in the tightest meet of the season.
The matchup will serve as a key measuring stick for Carson-Newman as the Eagles prepare for the upcoming South Atlantic Conference Championship, facing several of the top swimmers in the league.
