Eagles drop to 21st in latest Bushnell Golfweek Coaches Poll
NORMAN, Okla. – The Carson-Newman men’s golf team dropped from 19th to 21st in the latest edition of the Bushnell Golfweek Division II Coaches Poll that was released on Friday despite a second-place finish at the Spring Kickoff Intercollegiate last Monday and Tuesday.

The Eagles finished ahead of West Georgia and Lincoln Memorial, which both teams are also ranked in the top-25, last week in the Sunshine State. C-N now owns three top-two finishes on the year.
Saint Leo moves to the top spot of the rankings with 11 first-place votes to surpass Chico State, which is now second. West Florida, Nova Southeastern and Barry round out the top-five. Carson-Newman and LMU are the two ranked South Atlantic Conference teams while Newberry, Tusculum, Lenoir-Rhyne and Wingate are receiving votes.
The Eagles will next compete in two weeks at the NCAA Southeast Region Preview at Mission Inn Resort & Golf Club in Howie-in-the-Hills, Fla. Saint Leo, Chico State, Nova Southeastern and Barry join the Eagles as five of the 13 ranked or receiving votes team that will compete at the Preview.
