JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - Carson-Newman Head Football Coach Ken Sparks is part of a feature story in this week's Sports Illustrated.
The piece, written by SI's Joe Posnanski, focuses on the current state of loyalty (or lack thereof as the article also explores) by college football coaches to the schools and student-athletes they lead and represent.
Sparks, who will begin his 30th season at Mossy Creek this fall, is the all-time wins leader in NCAA Division II with 276. His Eagle football teams have won 20 South Atlantic Conference titles.
The Eagles shared the South Atlantic Conference title in 2008, and reached the NCAA Division II Playoffs.
