Eagles To Take On Newberry In SAC Tournament

JEFFERSON CITY, TN-- The Carson-Newman Eagles have earned the second seed in the Food Lion South Atlantic Conference Baseball Tournament.
The Eagles (29-17) will take on tournament host and fifth seed Newberry at Greenville (SC) Municipal Stadium on April 19 at 3:45 p.m. The Eagles swept the Indians in a three-game series in March. Should the Eagles win, they would advance to play the winner of the Catawba/Lenoir-Rhyne game on April 20 at 7:30 p.m. The tournament is a double-elimination format with the championship game to be played on Sunday, April 22 at either 1:00 p.m. or 4:00 p.m.
