Teague Named Pitcher Of The Week

ROCK HILL, S.C.--Carson-Newman College's Matt Teague has been named the South Atlantic Conference's Pitcher of the Week, announced by league officials on Monday.
Teague, a starting pitcher for the Eagles, pitched 6.2 innings of shutout baseball to improve to 5-1 on the season with a 2-0 victory over Lenoir-Rhyne College on April 6. The senior walked none and struck out three to pick up the victory. For the season, the Belmont, N.C. native has only walked 13 batters in 62 innings pitched.
The SAC Player and Pitcher of the Week awards are voted on by the league's nine sports information directors.
