Men endure first loss of the season
SAINT LEO, Fla. – The Carson-Newman (1-1) men’s soccer team suffered a 2-0 loss at Saint Leo (1-0) earlier this evening.

SAINT LEO, Fla. – The no. 2 Carson-Newman (1-1) men's soccer team suffered a 2-0 upset at no. 17 Saint Leo (1-0) earlier this evening.
The Lions' first point came in the third minute of action; Mathias Katerna put it in off a pass from Max Geisthovel.
Melvi Agyei Boateng put up an unassisted goal 15 minutes into the second half to make the final score two nil.
Junior Kavi Luchowa (London, England) made six saves for the Eagles.
Sindre Welo (Trondheim, Norway), James Ward (Trine Cornwall, England) and Robert Wagner (Halle, Germany) each released one shot and landed it on net.
C-N continues on the road with its first conference match at Wingate Sept. 13 at 7:30 p.m.
