JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – The men will travel to Albany, Georgia to the Hurricane Invitational, where another challenging field of 15 teams will Duke it out at the hosting Doublegate Country Club.
After a 13th-place finish last week in an ultra-challenging Mizuno Invitational field, the Eagles will look to pick up where they left off in their final round where they logged a team score of just +2.
Brady Wentz was the top finisher in last week's event with a 73-75-69 three day split. He finished inside the top 30 overall in the challenging field with a 24th place finish at +2 across the three rounds.
As such, head coach Randy Wylie will move Wentz up from the two spot he occupied in the first event to the first slot.
Theo Baker and Dylan Frein will be the other two returners to the lineup from last week. Baker finished 41st overall (+6 over the three rounds) last weekend and Frein was +12 to finish 65th.
Owen Larson and Will Bacon will join the Eagles at the Hurricane Invitational for their first round of the 2025 season. Larson was a consistent starter for the Eagles last season. The sophomore had his best tournament of the year at the SAC championships where he finished T-29.
Bacon played in four events throughout the fall and spring of last year. His best finish was a T-51 finish at the McCoy Wright Currahee Invitational in October of 2024.
Aiden Collier will also get his first shot in an Eagles uniform this weekend in the individual slot.
Tee times will begin at 8:30 on Monday, September 21st, 2025 where the Eagles will play two rounds and wrap up the event on Tuesday with the final 18. Live scoring will be available on the Clippd website.
