JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman men's golf has announced the addition of Will Bacon out of Kingston, Tennessee, and Roane County High School.
Bacon makes his way to Mossy Creek after an illustrious high school career, garnering many team and individual accolades. Bacon was critical in leading Roane County to three consecutive state championships.
As an individual, Bacon earned two individual district titles and three individual region titles and placed third overall in Tennessee. In 2023, Bacon was named the Player of the Year in Tennessee by Knox News and Five-Star Preps.
Bacon chose the Eagles over fellow Tennessee universities, including Roane State, Walters State, Tennessee Tech, UT Martin, and SAC rival Tusculum.
Academically, Bacon brings a well-rounded profile after heavy involvement in Beta Club while at Roane County. Following graduation in the Spring of 2024, Bacon will head to Mossy Creek, where he plans to major in business administration.
