Carson-Newman Men's Basketball Holds First Annual Homecoming Tailgate
JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - The Carson-Newman men's basketball team held its first annual homecoming tailgate on Saturday afternoon before Carson-Newman's football game with Wingate.
JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - The Carson-Newman men's basketball team held its first annual homecoming tailgate on Saturday afternoon before Carson-Newman's football game with Wingate.
The current team and coaching staff were in attendance, along with several former Eagles. Among the alumni at the tailgate were Walt Valentine (1961) and Jack Owenby (1960).
The Eagles are currently wrapping up preseason workouts and will start official practice on Friday, Oct. 15. C-N's first exhibition game is on Nov. 2 at East Tennessee State.
The Eagles tip off the 2010 season on Saturday, Nov. 13 at home against Belmont Abbey.
