Fall Frosty Awards Nominees: Female Freshman of the Year

From now until Jan. 3, the Carson-Newman Athletic Communications Department will debut the Frosty Award nominees for the fall semester. These are the fall nominees for Female Freshman of the Year. Sunday, we'll unveil the Upset of the Year.
The 13th annual Frosty Awards will take place April 28 and honor athletic excellence in Carson-Newman's athletic department.

Grace Lambert (Golf)
Lambert was a consistent producer for C-N in the fall, ranking in the top 200 nationally. She recorded two top 25 finishes and averaged a 76.1, the third best on the team. She carded two rounds at even par, and all of her rounds in the fall were in the 70's except two.
Elly Leander (Soccer)
Leander was an impact midfielder for Carson-Newman, totaling five points with one goal and three assists. She made four starts in her 15 appearances and finished the year with half of her shots going on goal.
Olivia Henry (Soccer)
Henry made just three appearances in the net for the Eagles, but was stellar in those outings. In her first career start, she posted a six-save clean sheet over Wingate. She was the first Eagle goalkeeper in the past 20 seasons, to post a shutout in their first career start. Henry did so by recording six stops, the second-most by a C-N goalie in their first career start. She finished the year with eight saves in three games and allowed just one goal.
Emma Roberts (Cross Country)
Roberts put together a solid freshman campaign, starting off fast with two top-15 finishes in the first three meets of the season. Roberts played a major role in helping the women's team earn a fifth place finish at the SAC Champiuonships.
