Elijah Buford (Soccer)
As Carson-Newman's starting goalkeeper, Buford closed the year with 52 saves, the third-most in the South Atlantic Conference. He made four or more saves on seven occasions, including four straight to begin the season. Buford allowed one goal or less in nine of his 16 appearances.
Brendan Shoaf (Football)
Shoaf continues the long tradition of exceptional long snappers. Carson-Newman only had one punt blocked on the season, and it wasn't due to a poor snap. Carson-Newman's last four long snappers, Dusty Nance, Dawson Campbell, Andrew Bradshaw and now Shoaf, have all earned postseason honors from the league office. This streak of snapping excellence dates back to 2012.
Mason Carnell (Football)
Carnell started every game at right guard for C-N on the offensive line. He helped the Eagles clear the way for a SAC-best 245.7 yards rushing per game. In part due to Carnell's surge, C-N had eight different players rush for at least 100 yards on the year.
Richemard Mellien (Football)
The Colgate transfer, Richemard Mellien led C-N in interceptions. He picked off three passes on the year and broke up another three. Mellien had 32 tackles on the year to go along with three tackles for loss and a sack. He started all 10 games for C-N at safety.
Dre'Von Hollis (Football)
Mississippi College transfer Dre'Von Hollis logged 24 tackles with four breakups in his first season at C-N. Hollis had a season-best four tackles against both Wingate and UVA Wise. Of his 24 stops, 13 were solo tackles.
Brady Weatherly (Football)
A reserve linebacker for the Eagles, Weatherly finished the year with 21 tackles in nine games. Weatherly was most active in the Eagles' finale when he produced a career-best eight tackles in the Eagles' shutout win over Tusculum
