Eagles Dominate Limestone to Open SAC Competition

GAFFNEY, S.C. – Carson-Newman Women's Tennis earned a win in its first conference match in a sweep of Limestone.
Carson-Newman (3-2, 1-0 South Atlantic Conference) dominated on the courts at the Rector Tennis Center against hosts Limestone (2-5, 1-2 SAC). The Eagles prevailed 4-0 in its first match outside the Volunteer State.
"As usual, our women's team came out on fire early. Securing the doubles point, and we never hesitated in singles play," Carson-Newman Women's Tennis head coach Nathan Gangelhoff said. "This was a good showing for us as we displayed our talent. A great conference start for us and hoping we can build great momentum into next week."
The Eagles never faltered in singles play including a complete sweep in the No. 6 flight from Maria del Mar Sarda Marti (Barcelona, Spain) 6-0/6-0.

C-N didn't drop a doubles match taking the No. 1 and No. 3 flights in a tight 7-5 match and a dominant 6-1 decision.
