C-N Impresses at LMU Invitational
HARROGATE, Tenn. – The Carson-Newman women’s tennis team put together a solid outing in its first fall event over the weekend, competing at a high level at the LMU Invitational.

On day one, the Eagles played six doubles matches against Lee University, winning four of them.

C-N also succeeded in singles, winning four of six matches against Union. Two Eagle newcomers recorded wins in their singles debut, and two returners secured wins to start their season.

The Eagles performed well again on day two, winning four of six double matches against Tusculum and Milligan. Leah McBride and Sindija Manovska put together an impressive performance, taking down Milligan and Tusculum's No. 1 doubles pairings.

The Eagles took on the host LMU to close out singles play, winning five of six matches against the Railsplitters. Leah McBride secured her first singles fall win in the No. 1 slot, while all four other C-N wins came in two sets against its conference rival.
