Eagles slide but stay inside the Top 25 in newest NFCA poll

LOUISVILLE, Ky. - In the sixth edition of the NFCA/GoRout Division II Top 25 Coaches Poll, Carson-Newman (21-6) dropped five spots to No. 24. Last week, it was ranked No. 19.
This is the fourth consecutive week that Carson-Newman has been ranked inside the top 25. The Eagles have peaked as high as No. 18 this season, marking the highest ranking for the Eagles since March 14th, 2022, when the team was also at No. 18.
The Eagles are one of two teams from the South Atlantic Conference included in the poll this week and are one of three teams from the region. Lenoir-Rhyne is new to this week's poll at No. 15, along with No. 5 North Georgia (Peach Belt) and No. 19 Francis Marion (Conference Carolinas).
Carson-Newman will be back at home on March 18th against Wingate. First pitch is slated for 1:00 p.m. against the Bulldogs from the Vickee Kazee-Hollifield Softball Complex.
