JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Winners of its last six, Carson-Newman (15-7) welcomes another streaking South Atlantic Conference squad, No. 23 Lincoln Memorial (17-6), to The Vick on Saturday afternoon.
In C-N's six-game winning streak, the Eagles have been stellar offensively, producing double-digit run totals in five of the six. Correspondingly, C-N's offensive numbers have skyrocketed. The Eagles rank 5th in the nation in batting average (.378), 5th in hits (219), 2nd in home runs (31), 4th in on-base percentage (.453), 8th in runs scored (186), and 3rd in slugging percentage (.639).
C-N is clicking on all cylinders at the right time entering the matchup with Lincoln Memorial. Hayden Dye (Knoxville, Tenn.) is coming off an 11-of-14 week at the plate with nine RBIs and three home runs, earning SAC and TSWA Player of the Week honors. In the SAC-opening doubleheader against Newberry, Dye built on the momentum with six RBIs in the two games.
After a 5-of-9 effort in two games against Newberry, SieAnna Cameron (Alcoa, Tenn.) continues to lead the conference in batting average. The senior is hitting a glowing .513 at the plate, leading the conference by almost 20 points. Cameron and Dye are tied for 5th in the league in RBIs (26).
The Eagles are peaking at the right time, preparing for a heavyweight in-state battle with No. 23 Lincoln Memorial. New to the poll this week, the 'Splitters come into the matchup winners of six of their last seven, with the lone loss coming in a SAC-opening split with Emory & Henry. In three of the six wins, LMU has either shut out opponents or limited them to one run.
Halle Grace Patton has been the driving force in the circle, dealing 88.1 innings of work with a league-leading 1.35 ERA and winning 12 of her 14 decisions in 2025. Her last appearance was a complete-game one hit performance in LMU's 4-0 win over Emory & Henry. All 12 of Grace Patton's wins have come in complete-game efforts.
Two other arms have contributed to the league's second best ERA, with Jasmine Kaylor and Katie Fultz dealing 34.2 and 32 innings respectively. Kaylor holds a 3.43 ERA and a 3-3 record in eight appearances, tossing three complete games. Fultz has a 6.34 ERA and a 2-1 record in seven appearances.
On the other hand, Lincoln Memorial is offensively in the middle of the pack in the SAC. LMU's batting average and RBI leader is Hanna Bogoski, who is hitting .370 with 17 RBIs. Hannah McMeen and Anna Kate Reichter follow Bogoski in batting average, hitting .344 and .338, respectively, with double-digit RBIs.
C-N leads the all-time series 19-16, but the Railsplitters have controlled the series lately, winning eight of the last ten matchups, including five straight in the 2021 and 2022 seasons. C-N and LMU split last season in Harrogate.
In C-N's 8-1 win over LMU in the first game of the doubleheader, Hayden Dye and Macauley Bailey (Cross Plains, Tenn.) had RBI knocks, with Bailey's two-run home run putting the finishing touches on an impressive wire-to-wire effort.
The Eagles and Railsplitters will battle in a heavyweight South Atlantic Conference contest, starting at 1 p.m. on Saturday at The Vick.
