Corcoran Earns First Team All-American Honors After Day Four In Indianapolis
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Carson-Newman Swimming wrapped up the fourth day of the NCAA Swimming and Diving National Championships with two top-15 finishes and Megan Corcoran earning All-American honors.
INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Carson-Newman Swimming wrapped up the fourth day of the NCAA Swimming and Diving National Championships with two top-15 finishes and Megan Corcoran earning All-American honors.
During the preliminary round this morning, Megan Corcoran competed in the 200-yard Butterfly prelims, finishing 5th overall with a time of 1:59.33. Corcoran's performance qualified her for the championship final later this afternoon. Live results can be found HERE.
In the evening finals, Corcoran finished 8th in the 200-yard Butterfly with a final time of 2:01.42. The event's gold medal was awarded to Mellie Wijk from Drury University, who finished with a time of 1:57.28. Corcoran capped off a record-breaking freshman season by earning First Team All-American honors in the 200-yard Butterfly.
Asger Hartvig competed in the prelims this morning for the 100-yard Breaststroke, securing 16th place with a time of 53.93. Hartvig returned to the pool this afternoon for the consolation final at 5:30 p.m.
In the finals, Hartvig finished 15th overall with a final time of 54.01. The gold medal in the event was awarded to Brayden Cole from Indiana University, who posted a time of 51.81.
The final day of the 2025 NCAA Swimming and Diving National Championships will begin on Saturday, Mar. 15, with the preliminary round at 10:00 a.m. and the finals starting at 5:30 p.m.
