Collins Named SAC/CC Coach Of The Year
ROCK HILL, S.C. – Head beach volleyball coach Cat Collins was named the South Atlantic/Conference Carolinas Coach of the Year in the season awards released Thursday morning.
ROCK HILL, S.C. – Head beach volleyball coach Cat Collins was named the South Atlantic/Conference Carolinas Coach of the Year in the season awards released Thursday morning.
Before becoming the Director of Volleyball in 2024 and taking over as the head coach of Carson-Newman indoor volleyball, Cat Collins served as the Eagles' beach volleyball coach for three years. Entering her fourth season leading the program, Collins was excited for beach volleyball to finally become an official conference sport.
The 2025 season saw Collins' Eagles squad dominate the competition, especially within the SAC/CC, with Carson-Newman going undefeated in the regular season. Three of the team's five pairs earned All-Conference honors this season.

Collins and the Eagles secured the top seed heading into the SAC/CC Championships Tournament, which kicks off this Friday, April 11–12, in Dallas, N.C., at Gaston College.
Carson-Newman's first matchup is against the No. 5 seed Erskine Flying Fleet on Friday, April 11 at 9:30 a.m., followed by a match with Catawba at 12:30 p.m.
