PENSACOLA, Fla. - Ticketing information for Carson-Newman's opening game at preseason No. 1 West Florida has been released by UWF's athletic department.
The Eagles and Argos, ranked number one in Lindy's, Street & Smith's and College Football Yearbook's preseason polls, square off Thursday, August 30 at 8 p.m. Eastern, 7 p.m. Central/local time.
Carson-Newman fans are welcome to purchase a ticket in any priority one or priority two section. Section 117 has been designated as visiting team seating so Carson Newman fans can to sit together. These tickets are chair backs and are 24 dollars a seat.
All fans can also purchase an $11 standing room only ticket instead. This will allow them to stand behind the visiting team sideline in the grass; however, there is no seating (lawn chairs are prohibited). The Pensacola Blue Wahoos, the Double-A affiliate of the Cincinnati Reds and primary tennants of Blue Wahoos Stadium will still be in season at that time, as a result, the temporary bleacher seating that is typically placed in right field behind the visitor's sideline won't be installed, necessitating the standing room only section.
The blue and green decks have seating and are available to guests with a standing room only ticket. These decks are available on a first come first serve basis and can accommodate roughly 250 people.
UWF ticket gates open 90 minutes prior to kickoff, at 5:30 p.m. Central. Ticket windows will open three hours prior to kickoff for walk-up sales, but UWF's athletic department encourage all fans to buy tickets online in advance. Fans can print tickets from home.
Parking and tailgating lots are available on game day for 10 dollars a vehicle e in Lots 4 and 5. RV Parking is available in Lot 5 for $20. There are also free parking options around the city within a 10-minute walk of the stadium.
