Eagles head to Lay Lake for Wild Card event
Following a pair of top-50 finishes in Michigan last week, the Eagle Anglers will be back on the water for a two-day event as part of the Bassmaster College Series Wild Card event on Lay Lake, Ala.
LAY LAKE, Ala. – Following a pair of top-50 finishes in Michigan last week, the Eagle Anglers will be back on the water for a two-day event as part of the Bassmaster College Series Wild Card event on Lay Lake, Ala. This will be the final chance for college anglers to qualify for the 2021 Bassmaster College Series National Championship which will be held from August 12-14 on St. Lawrence River in New York.
Last week, the Eagles were once again led by the pair of Hayden Gaddis and Benjamin Cully. The duo reeled in an overall 11th place finish with a total of 10 fish, weighing 36 pounds. The other Eagle duo to make the top 50 were Jacob Frazier and Maddux Walters who came in 49th with a weight total of 30 pounds, 11 ounces over a combined 10 fish.
After this week, the Eagles will prepare for their next competition, the ACA 2021 AFTCO Collegiate Bass Open on Lake Dardanelle, Ark. on October 9 and 10.
