Eagles prepare for Championships in Lake Murray

LAKE MURRAY, S.C. – After yet another quality placement, the Carson-Newman fishing club mosey onto Lake Murray, S.C. Wednesday and Thursday for the ACA 2021 Boat US Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship presented by Bass Pro Shops.
The Eagles currently sit at fifth in the national rankings with 14,010 points. They sit behind the University of Montevallo, McKendree University, Murray State, and Adrian College.
Last time out at the Carhartt Bassmaster College Series presented by Bass Pro Shops, Benjamin Cully and William Gaddis led the club as they hauled in eight fish for a total weight of 24 pounds, placing seventh overall. After C-N's three pairs completed their time, the club reeled in 21 fish with a total weight of 46 pounds and 27 ounces.
After the ACA 2021 Boat US Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship concludes, the Eagles return to the water for another stop on the Carhartt Bassmaster College Series presented by Bass Pro Shops in early June.
