2019 (Junior): Edwards produced a breakout junior year earning second-team D2CCA All-Region honors, second-team All-SAC laurels and a trio of postseason plaudits. She was the 2019 SAC Tournament MVP where she posted 44 kills in three matches led by a then career-high 17 against 24th-ranked Wingate in the semifinals. The junior was a member of the NCAA Southeast Region All-Tournament team resetting her career-high with 19 kills posting a scorching .457 hitting percentage in a sweep of Augusta in the championship match on Dec. 7. She averaged 4.30 kills per set over the three matches hitting .396 en route to a region title. The Midlothian, Va. native had the fourth-most efficient season in school history with a .312 hitting clip, seventh in the SAC. With 108 block assists, she finished eighth in C-N history with 112 total rejections, fourth in the SAC. The right side had 18 overall double-digit kill efforts on the year leading the team in smashes 12 times and leading the way in rejections on four occasions. The junior had two double-digit kill efforts in her first 11 matches but 16 over her final 25.
2018 (Sophomore): Played in 28 of the team’s 29 matches finishing third on the team in kills per set at 2.09 while hitting .264, eighth in the SAC… To open the year, she had 13 kills against Belmont Abbey on Aug. 31 on 20 swings without a mistake. It was the most kills without an error since Maddie Borch went 14-0-26 (.538) against Erskine on Dec. 5, 2016 in the NCAA Southeast Region Semifinals in Aiken, S.C. Her attack percentage of .650 was the highest margin for a C-N player with an outing of at least 12 kills since Jenna Wilson hit .667 (12-0-18) at Coker on Oct. 31, 2014…With 90 total blocks, she finished eighth in the SAC…Reset her career high with 14 kills at Mars Hill on Nov. 3…Overall, she had nine double-digit kill efforts leading the team in the category six times.
2017 (Freshman): Saw action in 18 of the team’s 32 matches totaling 40 sets played…Produced her best outing as a rookie with six kills on a .455 hitting percentage with three digs and 1.5 total blocks against Francis Marion on Sept. 30…Notched three kills on three swings at Catawba on Oct. 28.
HIGH SCHOOL: The Midlothian, Va. native was her team's most valuable player each year in high school while picking up first-team all-conference honors. In her career, Edwards notched 624 kills, 75 blocks, 174 digs and 141 aces. Also a member of the gymnastics team, she excelled in the classroom being a member of the Beta Club, a Tribe Mentor Leader, on the Academic Honor Roll all four years and being a President's Award winner.
PERSONAL: Sister, Elexis, is a gymnast at Ohio State competing in all-around.

ROCK HILL, S.C. – Megan Oldenburger was named first-team All-South Atlantic Conference Thursday announced by the league leading a trio of Carson-Newman players to earn yearly honors with Erin Edwards on the second team and Hayden Barton picking up a spot on the all-freshman roster.
ANDERSON, S.C. – On a night where Carson-Newman started sets quickly, Anderson produced the late surges to pull out a sweep of the Eagles, 25-17, 25-19 and 25-22, in the South Atlantic Conference Tournament semifinals Thursday at the Abney Athletic Center.

HARROGATE, Tenn. – Megan Oldenburger produced the third 20-kill night of her career to join the program’s 1,000-kill club leading Carson-Newman to a five-set, 22-25, 25-20, 20-25, 25-23 and 15-13, victory over Lincoln Memorial in South Atlantic Conference action at Mary Mars Gym.
