Bio
2024 (Sophomore): Competing in two more games than she did as a freshman, Kabakci upped her saves in 2024 by recording 59 in 16 appearances in the net for C-N. She saved .747 of the shots that came her way and was part of four shutouts. Kabakci recorded shutouts in back to back games against Trevecca Nazarene and King in mid September. Her final two shutouts of the year came 11 days apart in conference play. She made two stops against Mars Hill in a 2-0 win on Oct 12 and then made six saves in a scoreless draw with Newberry on Oct 23. Her season-high in saves was eight, which she achieved twice in 2024. Kabakci had six saves or more in five games and finished the year with a 6-7-3 record.
2023 (Freshman): In her first season with C-N, Kabakci made 52 saves and competed in 14 matches. Her presence in goal was felt immediately for the Eagles. In her first career start, she made a career-high ten saves in a 1-0 loss to Anderson. It was the first time a C-N keeper had ten or more saves in a match since Jasmine Rizk had eleven saves against Catawba in 2019. Finished the year with a 5-7-2 record in goal. Made five or more saves in five games and had a .667 save percentage.
High School: Kabakci joins C-N from Ulenhof College. She was part of a North Macedonia team that won and promoted in their league two seasons ago. Kabakci now plays on the U19 and senior team. She chose Carson-Newman over Bridgeport, Gardner-Webb and Bluefield.
