Lady Eagles finish 11th at Peggy Kirk Bell Invitational

The Lady Eagles shot a final-round 328 to finish the tournament with a three-day score of 980 (+116). Top-ranked Nova Southeaster won the event with a score of 914 (305-309-300, +50). No. 2 Florida Southern finished second with a three-day total of 918 (310-303-305, +54).
Senior Jessica Tarbet (Corryton, Tenn.) shot an 80 (+8) on Tuesday to finish in a tie for 16th with a score of 236 (+20). Freshman Mary Tunnell (Memphis, Tenn.) closed out the tournament with an 82 to finish with a score of 238 (75-81-82, +22).
Junior Erica Ray (Maryville, Tenn.) carded a final-round 80 (+8) for the Lady Eagles, while junior Jennifer Oliver (Knoxville, Tenn.) and freshman Louise McGillivray (Banchory, Scotland) turned in rounds of 86 (+14) and 87 (+15), respectively.
Florida Southern's Melanie Audette carded a final-round 76 (+4) to claim medalist honors with a three-day total of 224 (+8).
The Lady Eagles return to action on March 21-22 in the Wingate University Pinehurst Challenge in Pinehurst, N.C.
