Eagles, Lady Eagles compete in Fall Tennis Invite at ETSU

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - The Carson-Newman Eagles and Lady Eagles participated in the ETSU Fall Invitational Tennis Tournament on September 9-10. 2011.

A total of 224 men and women representing seven schools saw action in the tournament, which included 6 flights of singles and 3 flights of doubles for men and women.  Highlights of the tournament for Carson-Newman included two flight winners and three flight finalists. 

Warren McClure (B Flight) and Paul Birdsong (D Flight) won their singles flights, while Chris Barron (G Flight), Mary Grace Burchfield (D Flight), and Kate Walker (F Flight) reached the finals of their singles flights.  Complete tournament results follow.
