Bio
2015: Carson-Newman's fourth leading tackler as a junior. He notched 67 stops with four eight-tackle performances. The Eagles were 4-00 when he had at least eight tackles. Miles also had 1.5 stops behind the line of scrimmage, a pass break up, a quarterback hurry and two fumble recoveries. He apppeared in 11 games and started eight for the Eagles. He had a career-high nine stops against Mars Hill (9/26), North Greenville (11/7) and Tusculum (11/14). His other eight-tackle game came against Newberry (10/17). He recovered fumbles against the University of the Cumberlands (9/3) and Limestone (10/31).
2014: Sat out the season with academic eligibility issues.
2013: Carson-Newman's leading special team's tackler with 13 tackles on kickoffs and punt returns. Saw spot duty as a reserve linebacker and made three tackles in that role as a freshman.
High School: Miles earned all-district, all-region and all-state honors for coach Jim Adams at John I. Burton – the alma mater of C-N linebacker and Miles' cousin Jaycob Coleman. Helped John I. Burton to an all-region D championship in 2009.
Personal: Named to the national honor society and principal's honor roll, an active student in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. The son of Meschelle Miles. Plans to become study toward becoming a physician after graduating from college.
