Bio
2013: Appeared in all 13 games with one start as a sophomore. Of his 21 stops, 10 came on special teams. Was second on the team in special teams tackles. Made his first career start at North Greenville. Set career highs for tackles against Wayne State (9/5) and Tusculum (10/19) with four tackles in each game. Produced all 1.5 tackles for loss on the year against the Pioneers - also a career high. He also forced a fumble against Tusculum. Also had three special teams stops against Wingate in a win to clinch a playoff berth.
2012: Made appearances in 10 of the Eagles' 12 games. Carson-Newman's leading special teams tackler with 14 stops, 10 solo, four assisted. Recovered a fumble in the Eagles' playoff win over L-R (11/24). Had a career high three tackles against Wingate (9/22) on national television and matched the tally in the route over rival Tusculum (11/3). Made two solo stops in the Eagles' playoff loss to Valdosta State. Part of a kick return unit forced opponents into an average starting field position of their own 25.
HIGH SCHOOL: Received All-Inter Mountain Athletic Conference honors…Named Lakeway Area and IMAC Defensive Player of the Year as a senior…Earned the Captain Award as a junior and senior…Helped lead Jefferson County to a share of the IMAC title and a berth to the TSSAA Class 6A state players during his senior year.
