Carson-Newman places 217 on SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll

ROCK HILL, S.C. - Carson-Newman produced a fourth straight year with more than 200 athletes placed on the SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll with 217, the league office announced Tuesday.

This snapped a streak of five-consecutive record-setting years for the department after placing 145 on the list in 2019-20, 176 in 2020-21, 197 in 2021-22, 223 in 2022-23, 237 in 2023-24 and 238 in 2024-25.    

To be eligible for inclusion on the SAC Commissioner's Honor Roll, student-athletes must have competed in a sponsored championship sport and maintained a cumulative GPA of 3.30 or higher throughout the academic year.  

The Eagles 217 were a part of 3,458 student-athletes, spanning each of the Conference's 12 member institutions and six associate members. This marks a seventh consecutive year the league has had more than 2,000 student-athletes represented on its honor roll.
