Bio
2022-2023: Young earned 12 top-5 finishes during the season. At the South Atlantic Conference Championships, she swam a personal best 400-yard IM in 4:37.74 to finish 10th in the event. Young placed fifth in both the 1000-yard freestyle (11:02.35) and 200-yard IM (2:21.48) against Georgia Tech. She won gold in the 500-yard freestyle with a time of 5:17.65 against Lees-McRae.
2021-2022: Over 15 top-8 finishes for her career, Young swam her way to the third fastest women's 500-yard freestyle time as she swam a time of 5:03.00 in the women's 500-yard freestyle day one of the Royal Open in 2022.
2020-2021: Young began her time as an Eagle with a third-place finish in the women's 1000-yard freestyle (10:48.35), a fourth-place finish in the women's 200-yard backstroke (2:21.92), and a third-place finish in the women's 200-yard IM (2:18.09) against Milligan.. Collected top-15 finishes in the women's 1000-yard freestyle (10:36.11) and the women's 500-yard freestyle (5:06.14) at the 2021 Bluegrass Mountain Conference Championships.
High School: 4 Time regional and State High School Swimmer. 14 Individual top 8 finishes. A sectional cut in the 2IM. Paul Laurence Dunbar won regionals for the 12th year in a row. Placed top 8 at Long course and short course in 14 individual events.
Personal: Daughter of Michele Remark. Intends to major in Psychology at Carson-Newman. Mother, Michele Remark, part of Gymnastics at University of Kentucky.
