Bio

2024: Matyasovsky was incredible for C-N at third base.  She hit .342 with eight doubles and 14 home runs with 36 runs batted in.  Potentially more impressive was her career-long 28-game streak playing error free at the hot corner.  Matyasovsky has a .964 fielding percentage and only four errors at third this season. Matyasovsky's 14 home runs are tied for the fourth-most in a single season in school history.  She drove in a career-best six runs against Wheeling on March 10. That game against the Cardinals was one of three this year where she hit two home runs (Coker on March 5 and Southern Wesleyan and March 7) are the others.  She has 10 multi-RBI efforts this year and 12 multi-hit days.

HONORS:

  • All-SAC First Team Third Bases
  • CSC Academic All-District
  • SAC Player of the Week (3/12)
  • TSWA Player of the Week (3/12)

2023: Matyasovsky has been no stranger to representation on the CSC/CoSIDA Academic All-America teams.  She was a two-time Academic All-American at Eastern Connecticut State in the Division III ranks. Now she has the opportunity to grab an accolade as a member of Division II. The sweet-swinging Matyasovksy finished second on the team in home runs with 10 and third in RBI with 42.  She stroked an even .300 for the year with 11 doubles and the 10 dingers.  Nearly half her 45 hits on the season were for extra bases.  She accounted for 10 multi-hit games and 12 multi-RBI efforts, including four-RBI days against Catawba (March 11) and Lincoln Memorial (March 29).
