2024: No pitcher in Carson-Newman history has finished more games than Ferguson.  She has closed out 37 games in the circle in her C-N career and owns a 20-7 record with a 4.76 ERA.  Ferguson is tied for second in school history in career saves and combined shutouts.  She has struck out 73 in 64 appearances in her career.

HONORS: 

  • CSC Academic All-District

2023:  Ferguson set Carson-Newman's single-season record and career record for games finished.  She appeared in relief 19 times this season.  Ferguson was 6-3 with a 3.82 ERA and a save across 44.0 innings of work.  Her longest outing came against top-10 UIndy, when she dealt 5.1 innings of eight-hit, six-run ball – only three of which were earned. She struck out a season-high four against the Greyhounds.  She tallied her second-career save against Lenoir-Rhyne (April 23), when she pitched the final inning and helped the Eagles get out of a bases loaded jam with minimal damage to preserve a 6-5 win against a top-25 team.

2022: Ferguson went 3-1 in the circle with a 5.55 ERA.  She appeared in 12 games with two starts.  In 29.0 innings of work, she walked six and struck out 14.  She whiffed five against Erskine (2/25) in a season-long, five-inning relief outing.  

2021: Ferguson went 6-0 in the circle with a 4.26 ERA. She appeared in 10 games in the cirlce, striking out 20 across 30.2 innings of work.  She had one complete-game effort on the year, against Tiffin (2/21) and fanned a career-high six in 3.0 innings of work against Bluefield State (3/21).  

HIGH SCHOOL: Ferguson hit .333 with a .455 on-base percentage and 15 home runs at Daniel Boone High School for coach Jeremy Jenkins.  She was named first team All-Big 7 Conference twice and was the league’s pitcher of the year as a freshman.  She helped the Trailblazers to a pair of district titles. 

PERSONAL: The daughter of McKenzi and Arthur Ferguson. Both of her parents were collegiate athletes.  He father played baseball at Tusculum, while her mother played softball at Lander.  She was a member of the National Honor Society and Beta Club in high school.
