2024: Dye hit .409 this season with 14 doubles, two triples and 12 home runs.  She also drove in 57 runs.  Dye finished the regular season sixth in the conference in batting average and fourth in runs batted in.  Her 12 bombs are also sixth in the conference.  Dye produced 17 multi-hit games, including her first career four-hit day against Coker on March 5.  She has driven in multiple runs in 15 games this season.  She topped out with a career-best six-RBI day against Coker.  Dye's 57 RBI are the ninth-most for a single-season in school history, while her 12 home runs are tied for ninth-most in a single-season in school history.  She earned TSWA State Player of the Week honors on March 5. She hit .500 for the week with six RBI and three home runs. Dye did the bulk of her damage against Kentucky State on Feb. 25 when she drilled home runs in three consecutive plate appearances. Dye finished with 13 total bases for the week.

HONORS:

  • All-SAC First Team Shortstop
  • Tucci/NFCA D2 Player of the Year Watchlist
  • TSWA Player of the Week (3/5)

2023: Dye started sluggishly for her sophomore campaign.  On Feb. 22, she was hitting just .059. However, the Powell product burst forth from her slump to hit .341 for the month of March and .319 in April.  She wrapped up the season hitting .264 with three rdoubles, two triples and three home runs while driving in 18.  Dye tallied an eight-game hitting streak - the second longest of her career - heading into C-N's final game in the regional tournament. She was responsible for 10 multi-hit efforts and a trio of multi-RBI games. A SAC All-Tournament team member, Dye hit .529 for the tournament.  She had nine hits in 17 at-bats and socked two home runs while driving in five.  Dye is the only player at the event for Carson-Newman who had a hit in all five games.  She started the tournament with a three-hit day against Newberry.  She tallied two-hit days twice against Wingate – once in a 4-2 loss and against in a 6-0 win to stave off elimination. In addition to her two home runs, she also hit a double.

HONORS:

  • SAC All-Tournament Team

2022: A fearsome hitter as a freshman, Dye hit .314 for the year while starting all 53 games for C-N - the vast majority of which came at third base.  Dye drove in 47 runs, the second most among freshmen in the South Atlantic Conference in 22.  She had 15 doubles, three triples and six home runs.  Dye had 16 multi-hit efforts, including five, three-hit games.  She drove in multiple runs 15 times, highlighted by a four-RBI day against Lander (2/26). Dye matched a single-game school record when she bashed three doubles against Florida Tech (2/6).

HIGH SCHOOL: Produced big offensive numbers in her first two high school seasons.  She hit .458 with 15 doubles, 10 home runs and 45 RBI before hitting .536 with 21 doubles, four triples and 64 RBI as a sophomore.  She was an all-district choice as a freshman as she led all freshmen in the state of Tennessee that year in dingers.  She helped Powell to a state title in 2018.

PERSONAL: The daughter of Brad and Jamie Dye, she plans to study family and consumer science at Carson-Newman.  She was a member of the National Honor Society in High School.
