2021: Mathis made her first career start against Mars Hill (2/24).  She tallied her first career hit against Tiffin (2/21) with an RBI to boot and scored six runs on the year as a pinch runner. 

2020: Appeared in 13 games as Carson-Newman's top pinch-runner. Scored seven runs and stole a base on the year.  In her lone plate appearance, she got hit by a pitch. 

2019: Mathis made appearances in 11 games, scoring a pair of runs on the year as a pinch-runner for the Eagles.  She was 0-for-1 at the plate, with her lone at-bat coming against Claflin (2/15). 

2018: Mathis appeared in 20 games, primarily as a pinch runner in her freshman season.  Mathis scored nine runs on the year.  She was 0-for-1 at the plate with her lone at-bat coming at Tusculum. 

HIGH SCHOOL:  As a senior, Mathis hit .320 with a .427 slugging percentage for the Baylor School. She helped the Tigers to a state title in 2015.  

PERSONAL: The daughter of Tara and Floyd Mathis.  She plans to study exercise science at Carson-Newman.  Her father was a football player at Carson-Newman and ranks 12th on the school's all-time rushing list.
