Bio

2013: Played in 14 matches and started in 13. Injury kept her out of a few games midway through the season. Scored a header off a corner kick for her one goal of the season to win 2-1 in overtime at Mars Hill. Took three shots, all of which were on goal, tying her for first with a 1.00 shot-on-goal percentage. Received the Freshman of the Year Award.

High School: Peterson was a standout at Palmetto High School in Parrish, Fla., where she was coached by Matt Foy. She was the Palmetto's top scorer during her freshman season.

Personal: Peterson was amember of the Palmetto High School Honor Roll. She is the daughter of Dave and Kathi Peterson. She chose Carson-Newman due to its reputation as one of the best schools in the southeast. She plans to major in Pre-Med at Carson-Newman.
