JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. – Carson-Newman athletic director Allen Morgan has announced the hiring of 23-year LPGA tour professional Suzanne Strudwick as Carson-Newman’s next women’s golf coach.

SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. – Carson-Newman’s women’s golf team remained in fourth place through round two of the South Atlantic Conference Women’s Golf Tournament. However, the Eagles were just one of two teams with multiple golfers who had sub-80 rounds.

JEFFERSON CITY, Tenn. - The South Atlantic Conference tournament has been kind to Carson-Newman over the past four years. The Eagles own three of the top eight three-round totals at the league tournament and one year that is unranked (2011) C-N took home the title.

AUGUSTINE, Fla. - Sophomore Danielle Baiunco (Melbourne, Fla.) finished day one of the Flagler Fall Slam tied for sixth after firing a 4-over par 76, Monday in St. Augustine, Fla., at the Marsh Creek Country Club. Head coach Amanda Moore said the weather made Baiunco's performance more impressive for the first round one.

SALISBURY, NC. - Carson-Newman women's golf shot a 319 on day two of the Patsy Rendleman Invitational Tuesday, finishing eighth overall. The Eagles were 52 strokes behind the number one team, Newberry College and only 35 strokes behind rival Tusculum College, who came in second place. This two day event was held at the 5,998 yard par 72 Country Club of Salisbury.
